Ambassador Kalinoe meets with the UAE Resident Pacific Ambassadors

PNG joins the Pacific Islands Countries in the UAE to uphold the true Pacific Spirit even after expo2020.

His Excellency Mr Joshua Kalinoe, Ambassador and Commissioner-General of the Papua New Guinea Pavilion met with the Pacific Islands Resident Head of Missions in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates on 19 April 2022.

Ambassador Kalinoe met with His Excellency Aunese Simati Ambassador of Tuvalu, His Excellency Hon. Aku’ola, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Tonga and His Excellency Napotuin, Ambassador of the Republic of Fiji to UAE respectively in their respective Embassy and thanked them for their support for being part of the Pavilion Expo journey.

Whilst participating at the Expo, the Pacific Island pavilions supported each other when hosting forums, events and National Days. In a region where Regional Cooperation is very important, the small Pacific Islands States stood together to make a ripple in the ocean of peoples, cultures and countries.

The Pacific Head of Missions discussed bilateral issues in areas of mutual interest and cooperation and collective lessons learnt throughout the Expo2020 Journey by sharing ideas and exchanging views on the way forward to increase trade and investment activities in the respective countries and as a region.

The Pacific Ambassadors displayed a strong commitment to work together to maintain the True Pacific Spirit and continue to tell the Pacific story in this part of the region.
